Our touring center sits on one of the long finger-like rocky islands, reaching out into the Bay and is nicely situated right next to the Cribstone Bridge, an engineering feat using large blocks of local granite laid out in a cribwork fashion, which connects Orr's and Bailey's Islands. The combination of protected coves, numerous islands, and open ocean make our location an ideal place for all paddlers to experience a diversity of paddling conditions and scenery. Boasting the longest coastline of any community in Maine, a strong fishing tradition, and the unique Cribstone Bridge, Harpswell offers endless hours of exploration and enjoyment for all ages whether by land or sea.
