Paddling the Downeast Coast

This region of the Maine Coast demands a lot of respect and often challenges the skill and abilities of experienced paddlers.  Known for its dramatic tides, persistent fog, and cold water, Maine’s Downeast coast can offer kayakers a challenging experience.  For those of you looking to hone your navigation and trip planning skills, this is your chance.  Distances covered each day will range from 5 miles to approximately 12 miles and we will be camping on wilderness islands along the way.

Skill level:  Intermediate paddlers only.
