Kids’ Camp (ages 8-11)

5 days/4 nights at a waterfront campground.

Our most popular kids program is back once again! Pack your bags kids and come join us for a week of fun on the Coast of Maine. In this five day program you’ll get to experience the fun and excitement of sea kayaking, learn about the ocean environment, camp with your buddies and, of course, have a lot of fun. Although we accept a wide range of ages, you can be assured that we will work with the kids in smaller groups according to their comfort level, skill level, abilities, and their desires. The older kids won’t feel “held back” by the younger ones and the younger ones won’t be “overwhelmed” by too much information but rather each group will be able to have fun and learn at their own levels. Of course, there will be time for the whole group to hang out together and have fun too. So, don’t worry kids, it’s not like school or anything…we’ll play lots of games and there won’t be any homework or tests. And for a few lucky parents…we will need chaperones! We want you to have fun too so bring along your bathing suit, good camp stories, willingness to help out with the meals, and most importantly, your desire to have some fun and learn a bit about kayaking. Our base of operations for the week will be Thomas Point Beach and Campground located on the shores of Casco Bay so pack the car, bring the games, and get ready for a fantastic week! No experience required.

Kids Adventure Week: Expedition 101

(ages 12-14)

5 days/ 4 nights

(2 nights at a local campground and 2 nights island camping)

We have been busy beavers this winter developing this great new adventure camp for those kayak enthused youths looking for some serious fun this summer. In this weeklong sea kayak camp, kids will not only review kayaking skills and learn a few new ones, but they will also be exposed to Kayak camping and the many aspects of preparing for an overnight kayak trip: food planning, cooking, packing personal gear, loading boats, navigation, safety, camp craft and knowledge of the ocean environment. We begin the week at Thomas Point Beach and campground (Monday & Tuesday) reviewing kayaking skills, and preparing for our camping trip. Then at the end of the week (Wednesday – Friday) our team will embark on an overnight sea-kayaking adventure where the kids can really use all their new skills. This is a fun and interactive way for kids to learn about camping, kayaking, and the ocean environment. Once again our trusty staff are not only ready for this adventure, but they are also extremely excited!
