"We took the 3 beginner level kayak classes from your instructors a few weeks ago at the East Coast Kayak Expo in Charleston. Its amazing......we don't feel like total novices anymore!!! Your instructors taught us a variety of useful strokes, when to use them, and then gave us plenty of time to practice. And I felt like I got plenty of personal attention. Its clear that your instructors had a structured plan for what to teach in each class, and the classes--all three--were extremely useful. My husband even tipped the kayak over (unintentionally) and was able to practice the rescue maneuvers that were taught at the beginning of each class. Well done!"

"We have been involved with H2Outfitters for more than two years now. We have participated in winter training lessons, summer lessons on Bailey Island, and numerous consultations about equipment and gear. We have always found all of the staff at H2O to be approachable, knowledgeable, responsive and just plain fun. Each member of the instructional staff is an expert kayaker as well as a helpful and effective teacher. Their hands-on approach and clear, specific instructions have made us quick and successful learners. We are both teachers ourselves, so we have very high standards! We have seen Jeff and Cathy in particular both apply the active-learning approach that we teach to other teachers. The first two instructional videos have been a great help in preparing us to use our training time on the water to the best advantage, and to be as safe as possible each time we set out.
